Belt Conveyors

Sheet Frame Construction

The sheet frame series of conveyors utilize sheet metal sidewalls as the primary frame component. They provide clean appearance by concealing shafts and belt return, but they can be made wash-down with access holes in sidewalls. They typically have flat plastic belting, but they can include cleats and other features. The belt is positively driven with sprockets for improved tracking and torque transfer. It can be supported with legs or hung from above.

Open Frame Construction

The open frame series of conveyors utilize a tube or angle frame to facilitate easy component access for wash-down applications. They typically have woven-flat, stainless steel wire belting and can include cleats and other features. The belt is positively driven with sprockets for improved tracking and torque transfer. It can be supported with legs or hung from above.

Portable Folding Conveyor – Momentum Model PF1000 Series

The portable folding conveyor is the perfect product transfer or sorting conveyor for process lines that run a variety of products through different equipment configurations. The conveyor ends fold up for easy portability and storage. It can be washed down with the belt running and the ends down or folded up. It features an open-frame tubular construction.

SCREW CONVEYORS

Sanitary Auger – Momentum Model SA1000

Placing the auger inside a stainless steel tube provides a contained means of transferring products. The tube auger can be quickly and completely disassembled for easy, thorough cleaning. It is available in 6, 9, or 12-in. plastic flighting. More sizes are available with stainless steel flighting.

Troughed Augers – Momentum Model TA1000

A stainless steel auger trough can be constructed from 11, 12, or 14-ga. sheet in ‘U’ or ‘V’ profiles or specially designed for your unique configuration. It is available with or without the 16-ga. stainless steel cover. It is also available in 6, 9, or 12-in. plastic flighting. More sizes are available with stainless steel flighting.

Bulk Handling

Bag Unloader

Our bulk bag unloaders are engineered to provide a simple and dependable means of emptying difficult-to-handle bulk products. A variety of sizes and configurations are available in either mild or stainless steel. The unloader can be equipped with other features, such as load cells or vibrators.

Container Dumpers

Container dumpers allow for the controlled transfer of materials from heavy loads. A variety of sizes and configurations are available in either mild or stainless steel.

Live Bins

Live bins ensure the uninterrupted flow of material without bridging. The bin and its contents are vibrated horizontally as a result of the unbalanced weights in the vibrator. A variety of capacities and configurations are available in either epoxy-coated mild or stainless steel.

Portable Bins – Porta-Stor Bins

Porta-Stor Bins are designed to replace Gaylords in your bulk material handling system. You can buy material in bulk and use bins to distribute it throughout your plant. These bins are built to last with a 14-ga. hopper and a 2 x 1/4-in. angle frame. A variety of sizes are available in either epoxy-coated mild or stainless steel.

Power Mixers

The Power Mixer is designed to economically mix free-flowing bulk solid materials. Its heavy-duty auger lifts the material from the bottom of the hopper and disperses it around the top. Stationary or portable configurations are available in a variety of sizes in either epoxy-coated mild or stainless steel.

Disk Feeder

The Disk Feeder is a synchronized, digital dosing system designed to precisely dose plastic additives (either in pellet or powder form) on any plastics-processing machine for injection molding, blow molding, or all extrusion applications.

Lab Scale Feeder

The Lab Scale Feeder is specifically designed to feed powders, pellets, granulates, regrinds, fibers, and flakes at very low rates. The removable feed hopper makes it ideal for applications that require quick material changes. To make a material change, just remove the existing hopper and replace it with a new and clean one.

Mid-Range Industrial Feeder

The Mid-Range Industrial Volumetric Twin Screw Feeder is ideally suited for dosing powders, pellets, granulates, regrinds, fibers, and flakes in continuous and batching processes. The compact modular design gives the operator the flexibility to meet changing process requirements.

C-Flex Feeder

The C-Flex is designed to offer the greatest flexibility in flexible-walled feeder design and construction. It is ideally suited for dosing powders, pellets, granulates, regrinds, fibers, and flakes in both continuous and batching processes.

Industry Solutions

Automated Powder Dispensing System

The customer was manually transferring fine powder from a 25-lb. box into a pan using a hand scoop. The process created the following issues:

Dangerous – The fine powder was an explosion hazard.
Dusty – Fine dust went everywhere, requiring a separate, isolated room.
Slow – The operator was only able to fill 400 trays per 8-hour shift.

Improvements:

Conveyor Pan Transfer – Pans are automatically transferred from the unloader, through the powder discharge, to the downstream process step.
Dust Containment – A 40-lb. box was opened within a bag break station with a bin vent filter.
Fill Rate – Rate has improved to thrice per 8-hour shift.
Pan Filling – A volumetric disk feeder system is used to accurately meter and fill trays.
Tray Unloading – A custom tray unloader is designed and manufactured to automatically unload individual trays.

Powered Roller Reject Conveyor

The customer required a custom powered roller conveyor which segregated boxes after a check weigher. ‘Good’ boxes were transferred to the next station by the roller conveyor. ‘Reject’ boxes were transferred to the reject conveyor by a belt conveyor lifted in between the rollers. Lid Setter/Form Inverter

Operators at a cheese factory were manually placing cheese form lids and rotating cheese forms. We designed an automated method for performing those operations.
